I am blind,
Yet I can see.
I am deaf,
Yet I can hear.
I am mute,
Yet I can speak.
I am the dark,
And yet I am the light.
I am forgotten,
Yet I am remembered.
I am a peasant,
Yet I am a King.
I am nothing,
Yet, I am everything!
Original version:
I am blind,
Yet I can see.
I am deaf,
Yet I can hear.
I am mute,
Yet I can speak.
I have nothing,
Yet I have everything.
I am a peasant,
Yet I am a King.
Author’s Note:
When I originally wrote this, I felt like nothing. However, this piece is not about me. Though I use the words “I am”, I wasn’t talking about myself. Perhaps I’m talking about someone or something. Perhaps it is a riddle.
What do you think?

What a difference one change in a line can make.
I have to say, I’m not sure. Whenever an author writes something, it isn’t always wise to think that the who mentioned in the writing is the author or not.
